Looking for legit work from home opportunities? I would like to find a legit work from home opportunity. I've done yahoo searches but I just can't seem to find anything that seems legit. I have 3 yrs of telemarketing experience and at least 1 yr of secretarial experience. It would be nice if I could find like an inbound telemarketing position from home or a data entry position from home. Does anyone know of any legit work from home opportunities? Are there any websites that list work from home opportunities?

How do I submit resumes to companies that may not be looking for employees at this time? I am trying to find a job an I know of a few buildings that have various kinds of customer service, inbound and outbound telemarketing jobs. Should I have a cover letter for each one? Should I have copies of resumes with different objectives on each? Should I leave the resume with the receptionist or should I try to leave with an HR manager? I just want to take some initiative versus trying to look through the want ads.

Summer Job Telemarketing? I'm going to an interview this weds, for a Insurance company, I think the job they are offering is basically inbound calling. Last summer I did telemarketing, I was selling credit cards. I sucked at it, I eventually got fired from it for, not making enough sales, the thing is they kept me longer then they should have, I went 3 weeks without making one sell, and they didn't even fire me, they said I had good work ethic and was responsible, they also saw that I was trying, unlike others. The thing is I was misreable doing that job and I used to dread going to work. I'm basically broke, and need some sort of income. So should I take this job, if offered and keep looking, while at it? Or should I just cancle the interview.
How to change career directions? I've been in the customer service business for over 15 years. I've done everything from Telemarketing (outbound cold calling) to inbound service and sales. I still would like like to be in sometime of "service friendly" atmosphere but not customer service where I'm on the phones. My resume is filled with customer service and sales experience, but I want to change careers into a different field. I'm a quick learner and adapt very well into any area or task that I'm given. How do I convince potential employers to give me a shot when my resume does not support these factors.

Working Telemarketing? I just went in and applied at a telemarketing place called "Focus", I got an interview on Thursday and I am pretty much guaranteed the job. I will be starting at $7.00 for the first 4 weeks because that will be my training time. They told me I will be doing inbound calls for Qwest, I thought I would be doing outbound so I was a little surprised. Anyway my question is has anyone worked a similar job and was it hard? It seems like pretty easy stuff, just basic troubleshoot for people that call in then pass it on to someone else if I truly don't know. Inbound seems like it will be easier than outbound, just want some opinions and comments thanks.

How long has your job training lasted? I am interviewing or a job, and it said that it's training is 8 - 5, M - F for 4 weeks. I job requirements are so minimal compared to some I have seen, typing skill, internet skill, and 4 years customer service or call center. I am pretty certain this is not a telemarketing job. It's an inbound call center customer service job. Anyway, it doesn't pay the greatest yet has this long 4 week training, which I think is strange cause I know people getting similar type jobs that pay 2-3 times the wage and training was 2 weeks. How long was your job training when you started? What's a few things one could look out for when interviewing .
