Telemarketing Lists Knowledge Base
Do you really believe in the telemarketing no call lists? I have never registered with any of the State or Government no call list and never had a "problem" with telemarketers harassing me. This great state of connecticut had a huge campaign on a few years ago all kinds of marketing to get you to register you cell phone numbers otherwise you would be harassed by telemarketers. They really tried to intimidate and scare people with the idea you would go broke being charged for the calls unless you register you cell phone with the state.....BULL! I didnt register and they never have called! Its a scam to have everyones name, numbers and address for state and federal government use.........and records for whatever reason that may be. Just more control, less rights for us more for them! What I am saying is I did not register on the no call lists as told and I still do not get any telemarketers calling me on my hard line phone or my cell phone! So why all the hype by the state, what they said would happen has not! And my #s are on no state of federal no call list!
How do I add someones phone number to a telemarketing list? I had an incident where I called Domino's to order a pizza which took 2 hours to come. I let the delivery guy know that I was not giving him a tip. He got mad and started calling my cell phone over and over to curse me out in Spanish. I called the manager and (keeping it nice) he was just as ignorant. So I want to teach these idiots a lesson about wasting my hard earned daytime minutes to vent. How many of you could do this on your job? I dont get mad. I get even. I had an incident where I called Domino's to order a pizza which took 2 hours to come. How can I enter my US phone number ONTO telemarketing lists and other call lists? First off-- this question is not against the YAHOO! Answers TOS. So good luck reporting it. It is a legitimate question that many people may want to know the answer to. The spirit of the Yahoo! Answers community is to spread truthful, helpful knowledge and make it available for people to look up online, not for people to harass and judge why someone would want to ask a question they don't deem 'worthwhile.' That out of the way, thanks for taking a look at my question and offering a positive and helpful answer. So basically I need to know where I could enter my phone number on websites/forms/applications to get my phone number called as many times as possible. I want my number to be sold and taken advantage of and called hundreds of times a day. Thanks for your help, people of the community.
Do you know your cell phone number has been sold for telemarketing purposes? Sad but true. I got my first telemarketing call on my cell phone. Since I didn't recognize the number, I refused the call but called back on my landline. The telemarketer who answered, rudely shunted me to a pre-recorded message that basically said, we are making telemarketing calls to your cell, and if you don't like it, tough. Obviously, this is something they are doing to thousands of people and have prepared to ignore the huge number of people who will call them and complain. My response was to register all of my family's cell phone numbers on the National Do Not Call list. My landline telemarketing calls have dropped to zero since I registered. If they dare call again, I'm reporting them. A $10,000 fine for each complaint should put a stop to this crap. https://www.donotcall.gov
Where do I report a telemarketing call? I put my cell number on the do not call list months ago and I just received a telemarketing call. Does anyone know where I report this? It was Sprint with a promotion. I don't use Sprint. Thanks eveyone!! I made a complaint.
I want to start my own telemarketing business from my home....? and i have a great product but i dont know how to get started. I want to start doin the telemarketing on my own and I have a provider for list, I know the amount I want to charge, I know my consumer. so any help to point me into the correct direction would be greatly appreicated.
What do you guys think of your cell phone providers selling your phone numbers to telemarketing companies? I had a friend from Verizon tell me that they are going to start having a calling list full of cell phone numbers, which isn't right because it will use all your minutes. If anyone else has this problem I have the same company that calls my house like 6 times a day while I am at work. There is a number for a "do not call" list though I deleted the text though so I don't have it but Im sure someone else has heard about it!
What are the latest telemarketing workarounds(scams) out there? Starrting Tuesday the 10th, I started recieving calls on my cell phone from 000-000-0000. On Wendsday I answered and heard lots of talking like in a crowded room and couldn't get anyone to answer me. Wendsday evening I recieved another call from the same number. I answered and heard the same background noise but this time could talk to the person on the other side of the call. It was a telmarketer with a "free stuff" / credit card offer. I declined and told them to "take me off your list"(this is the exact phrase you need to say to telemarketers so if the want to keep legal status they must stop calling you for at least a year.) This 0 #'s is new to me, it used to allways be "restricted" caller id from telemarketers. So, here's my question: what other new ways have telemarketers used on you so you would give them a response and not just ignore or block them?

I have a question about inside sales/outside sales , telemarketing, telesales positions ? I am currently out of work and use to work at a bank and only made about $30,000 per year. I never made lot of money and I am interested in getting into some type of sales where there is an upside potential to make six figures. I am browsing the ads on craigs list and I see alot of promises about make six figures , we have the hottest leads in the industry, if you can dial , pitch and close then you will make at leat $5,000 a month, our top rep earned $11,000 last month. I dont have a college degree and never really experienced that kind of success or income. Im not even sure if these type of opportunities exisits. Can someone out there tell me if those opportunties could be real and you can really make six figures a year doing sales? What the catch behing it ? Is it easy or is it a long shot. In my mind I feel like if it is so possible, why isnt everyone doing it. They only real money I ever made was when a company promised me a gauranteed salary and I got paid every 2 weeks .
Stop telemarketing calls to a non-profit substance abuse hot-line. (Do not call list?)? I work for a small non-profit organization that deals with substance abuse.(Grand Rapids, Michigan) We have a phone hot-line for individuals to call if they have a problem and need immediate help or general questions. We receive a high number of telemarketing calls. This is a twenty four hour line and is staffed by volunteers during the day. At night we pay an answering service and have to pay when they answer these telemarketing calls. Also these calls could potentially tie up the line when someone who needs help is trying to call in. Is there any option available to stop these calls? From my understanding of the do not call list, it does not cover business calls to a non-profit organization (non-profits fall into the business to business allowed category). Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
Is it illegal to send out free material by mail to a mailing list? If so, why is it legal to purchase mailing lists with the intention to send out mass mailings and make telemarketing campaigns? Will someone please help me with the legalities of this practice? I have been researching it for days. Laws regarding email and electronic spam are very clear, but snail mail is much fuzzier.

In Canada... how do you stop getting annoying telemarketing phone calls? They sale phones, groceries, offer jobs, say you won a cruise vacation... and the worst part is that it's a recording so if you want to talk to someone to tell them to stop you have to first press 1, then #, even wait for them to get the call!!!!!!!.. as if you didn't have anything to do but answer the phone! Once I told one that I wanted to be taken off their list, and 3 months later they started again! Is there a way to stop this, definitively? Is that legal in Canada? Thanks!

How do I get a telemarketer to stop calling me? I have added my number to the Federal do not call list and I have even reported this telemarketer to the do not call list. When this telemarketing call comes in, its all automated and it does give me an option to be removed from their call list and I have even done that. I have even reported this company to the police..But they are still calling..How do I get them to quit?
telemarketing and cell phone numbers? I got an e-mail today saying that in about a week, cell phone numbers will be releases to telemarketing companies, and to prevent this I have to call 888-382-1222 to be put on the DO NOT CALL LIST. Can cell phone companies legally release the cell phone numbers???
Anyone get pre-recorded telemarketing calls advising you to call (800) 525-8022 ? We probably get 2-3 calls a week of this nature. They claim its not a telemarketing call, possibly to skirt the don't call list? Google and Yahoo! searches indicate this is some sort of credit repair or debt collection service. Been tempted to call from a payphone to see what it really is. Its a pre-recorded message that says its not a telemarketing or solicitation, and that I should call them back at the above number. No human is ever on the line. Caller ID lists the same number as above, with no name given. The payphone idea is to beat them at their own game. One thing about the no-call lists -- if you call a business, you become their customer and they can now pester you even if you are on the no-call list.
